Junior Doctors industrial action 24 February 2024

Junior Doctors are due to take further industrial action for five days from 7am on Saturday 24 February 2024. BMA members’ action will end at 11.59pm on Wednesday 28 February. Members of the smaller HCSA union will end their action at 7am on Thursday, 29 February 2024.

All NHS provider trusts in our area are affected including South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust.

BOB ICB is working with partners across the NHS and care sector to mitigate against the effects of the strike and increased attendances, ensuring services remain safe.

The NHS is prioritising resources to protect emergency treatment, critical care, neonatal care, maternity, and trauma, and ensure we prioritise patients who have waited the longest for elective care and cancer surgery.

Patients with hospital/outpatient appointments booked on strike days will be contacted by the NHS if their appointment needs to be rescheduled. If they have not been contacted, they should attend their appointment as planned.
