Learning disability
and autism

Information, advice, and services for anyone with a learning disability or autism

A learning disability is a condition that makes it harder for someone to learn, understand, and remember new information. This can also make everyday tasks and problem-solving more difficult.

It starts in childhood and lasts for life. With support, people with learning disabilities can still live happy and fulfilling lives.

Autism is a lifelong condition that affects how people see the world and interact with others. Autistic people experience things differently, and it’s an important part of who they are. Autism is not an illness and cannot be ‘cured’.

It’s a spectrum, so it affects everyone differently. Some autistic people may need more support, especially if they also have other conditions.

With the right help, autistic people can learn, grow, and live happy, fulfilling lives.
